Maruti Suzuki Financial Year 2026: In contemporary India, driven by the soaring costs of petrol and diesel, people are increasingly opting for CNG vehicles. These vehicles offer the capability to cover long distances while remaining affordable. This trend was clearly evident in the fiscal year 2026, which witnessed a continuous surge in the sales of CNG-powered vehicles.
In terms of total sales, the segment has surpassed the 1 million (10 lakh) unit mark—a figure projected to rise even further—as consumers, conscious of fuel prices, show a distinct preference for lighter and more economical vehicles. Out of a total of approximately 4.7 million (47 lakh) passenger vehicles sold, 1.014 million (10.14 lakh) units were CNG models.
This performance generated significant profits and established the CNG segment with a 21.7% share of the overall market—an increase from the 19.6% share observed in 2025. This marks the second consecutive year in which CNG has emerged as the second most preferred fuel option, following petrol.

Sales And Strong Performance

Demonstrating a powerful presence with high sales volumes, the CNG segment has emerged as one of the most robust and exceptional categories in recent years, with strong potential for continued growth in the future.
