TVS Apache RTR 150–200cc Range Tops the Chart
The Apache RTR range from TVS Motor Company once again emerged as the best-selling lineup in the 150–200cc category. In December 2025, TVS dispatched 45,507 units of Apache motorcycles across India.
Although sales were slightly lower than November 2025, when 48,764 units were sold, the year-on-year performance was extremely strong. Compared to December 2024, which saw 20,885 units, the Apache range recorded a growth of over 117 percent.
The range includes the Apache RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, and RTR 200 4V. These motorcycles are known for their aggressive styling, feature-rich packages, and engaging performance, which continue to resonate with young riders as well as experienced enthusiasts. With updates teased recently, interest in the Apache lineup is expected to remain high.

Honda Unicorn Continues Its Steady Run
The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Honda Unicorn retained its strong position in the segment by selling 33,640 units in December 2025. This marked a small but positive increase over November 2025, when sales stood at 32,968 units.
On a year-on-year basis, the Unicorn posted a healthy rise of more than 60 percent, compared to 20,991 units sold in December 2024. The motorcycle’s consistent demand can be credited to its refined engine, comfortable ride quality, and dependable ownership experience.
Despite facing competition from more modern and sportier rivals, the Unicorn continues to appeal to buyers who prioritize comfort and smooth performance over outright aggression.

Bajaj Pulsar 150–200cc Range Shows Strong Annual Growth
The Pulsar brand from Bajaj Auto remains a familiar name in the sporty motorcycle segment. In December 2025, Bajaj sold 20,154 units of its 150–200cc Pulsar models.
This was a noticeable drop from November 2025, when 27,113 units were dispatched. However, when compared to December 2024, where sales were just 6,131 units, the year-on-year growth stood at an impressive 228 percent.
Models such as the Pulsar N160, NS160, NS200, and RS200 continue to attract buyers with their muscular design and performance-oriented nature, helping the brand maintain strong annual momentum.

Yamaha XSR 155 Makes a Strong First Impression
The Yamaha Motor India Yamaha XSR 155 is the newest motorcycle to feature in the top-selling list. Launched in November 2025, the bike had an impressive debut month with 16,359 units sold.
In December 2025, sales settled at 14,951 units, reflecting a moderate month-on-month decline. Since the model was not available in December 2024, year-on-year comparison does not apply.
With its neo-retro styling and premium positioning, the XSR 155 has quickly found an audience among buyers looking for something different from conventional sport and commuter motorcycles. Sales are expected to stabilize further in the coming months.

Yamaha R15 Remains a Favorite Among Enthusiasts
Closing the list is the Yamaha Motor India Yamaha R15, which continues to enjoy strong demand in the entry-level sportbike category. Yamaha sold 5,453 units of the R15 in December 2025, up from 4,257 units in November.
This resulted in a month-on-month growth of over 28 percent, while year-on-year sales also increased compared to December 2024, when 4,269 units were sold.
Available in R15 V4 and R15S variants, the motorcycle remains popular for its sharp handling, sporty design, and high-revving engine, especially among younger riders.
