Big news has emerged for adventure bike enthusiasts in India. BMW Motorrad has finally launched its highly anticipated mid-size adventure bike, the F 450 GS, in the Indian market. This bike has been designed specifically with riders in mind who seek a premium brand, robust performance, and off-road capabilityall in one without having to spend a hefty sum.

BMW Motorrad Price and Variants

The starting price of the new BMW F 450 GS has been set at approximately ₹4.70 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable bike in BMW’s GS series. It is available in three variants Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy with prices ranging from ₹4.70 lakh, ₹4.90 lakh, and ₹5.30 lakh, respectively.

With this pricing strategy, BMW has made it clear that it aims to reach a wider customer base in the Indian market, particularly among those who have previously gravitated toward bikes from brands like Royal Enfield or KTM.

Powerful Engine and Performance

The BMW F 450 GS is equipped with a new 420cc parallel-twin engine that generates approximately 47–48 bhp of power and 43 Nm of torque This engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and is capable of delivering exceptional performance both on highways and off-road terrains thanks to its smooth power delivery. According to the company, the bike can reach a top speed of approximately 165 km/h and is fully geared up for adventure riding.

Design and Features

The new F 450 GS has been designed to fully embody the signature identity of the GS series. It features an aggressive front fascia, an LED headlight, a tall windscreen, and a robust body structure, making it the quintessential adventure bike

In terms of features, it comes loaded with advanced technologies such as ABS Pro, Traction Control, multiple riding modes (Rain, Road, Enduro), a quickshifter, and a TFT display. The top-tier GS Trophy variant offers even more advanced featuressuch as the Easy Ride Clutch and an enhanced suspension setup—which make off-roading even more effortless

A significant highlight of this bike is the fact that it has been manufactured right here in India, in collaboration with TVS. This localization has played a key role in keeping the price in check, thereby making the bike more affordable and accessible to a larger audience.
