At the start of the new calendar year, Citroën India has revised prices across its model lineup in the Indian market. The price hike has come into effect immediately and applies to several models currently on sale. The brand’s Indian portfolio includes the Citroën Aircross X, Basalt X, C3, eC3 and C5 Aircross, all of which have seen a price adjustment.

Focusing specifically on the Citroen Aircross X, selected variants of the SUV have become costlier by up to Rs. 45,000. The highest price increase has been applied to variants that come with a 7-seater layout and the turbo-petrol engine. These include the 1.2-litre Turbo MT Max 7-Seater, 1.2-litre Turbo MT Max 7-Seater Dual-Tone, 1.2-litre Turbo AT Max 7-Seater and the 1.2-litre Turbo AT Max 7-Seater Dual-Tone. All these variants now cost Rs. 45,000 more than before.

Meanwhile, some other variants of the Aircross X have received a relatively smaller price hike. The 1.2-litre MT You 5-Seater, 1.2-litre MT Plus 5-Seater and the 1.2-litre Turbo MT Plus 7-Seater variants have seen a uniform increase of Rs. 20,000. Citroën has not announced any changes to features, powertrain or mechanical setup, indicating that this update is purely a price revision.

Following the latest hike, the ex-showroom price of the Citroen Aircross X now starts at Rs. 8.49 lakh and goes up to Rs. 14.14 lakh, depending on the variant. The revised prices are already in effect at dealerships across the country, and new bookings are being accepted at the updated rates.

Citroën is not the only automaker to revise prices at the beginning of the year. Other manufacturers such as Hyundai Motor India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Mahindra & Mahindra and Škoda Auto India have also announced price hikes across parts of their product range. This clearly indicates that 2026 has begun with a broader trend of price increases in the Indian automobile market.
