In 2026, Royal Enfield officially launched its first electric motorcycle the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 in India. This electric bike offers an impressive riding range along with a host of smart features

The name “Flying Flea” was first used in the 1940s to designate a lightweight motorcycle developed for military use. Now, that very name has been resurrected in an electric avatar.

True to the Royal Enfield legacy, this bike boasts an exceptional look and design; furthermore, its weight has been kept remarkably low, making this new electric motorcycle an even more magnificent and impressive machine.

The design of the Flying Flea C6 has been kept quite simple. It features no excessive over-design, nor any unnecessary cuts or creases. The round headlight, slim body, and clean finish—everything feels very balanced.

Essentially, through this bike, the company has attempted to convey a message: that being an EV does not simply mean looking futuristic.

Flying Flea C6 Motor and Range

Royal Enfield has equipped the Flying Flea C6 motorcycle with an electric motor delivering approximately 15.4 kW of power, generating around 60 Nm of torque. This means that the moment you twist the throttle, the bike delivers instant pickup, allowing you to navigate through city traffic with ease.

In terms of range, this electric bike features a 3.9 kWh battery capable of traveling approximately 154 kilometers on a single full charge (according to company claims). However, in real-world conditions assuming a standard city ride that is neither excessively fast nor too slow—you can comfortably expect a range of around 120 to 140 kilometers.

Charging Time and Battery Life

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 features an onboard charger, allowing you to charge it directly by plugging it into a standard 16A home socket. This electric bike takes approximately one hour to charge from 20% to 80%, whereas a full charge from 0% to 100% takes about 2 hours and 15–20 minutes.

Now, regarding battery life: the bike is equipped with a 3.9kWh battery. According to the company, this bike can travel over 150 kilometers; however, with normal riding, it can comfortably cover a distance of 110 to 140 kilometers.

Features and Technology

The company has equipped the Flying Flea C6 with advanced technology, featuring a digital TFT display. This display allows you to view essential information such as speed, battery status, and range; furthermore, you can take advantage of navigation and mobile connectivity features—meaning you can view calls, messages, and maps directly on the bike’s screen.

Additionally, the bike comes equipped with safety features like ABS and Traction Control, which help prevent skidding and ensure a safer riding experience. It also features regenerative braking, meaning the battery partially recharges whenever you apply the brakes.

In terms of technology, this bike is truly ahead of the curve, offering 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows you to monitor the bike’s status, track its location, and adjust various settings directly through a dedicated mobile app.

That’s not all; it also includes an OTA (Over-the-Air) update feature, meaning the bike will periodically update itself—much like a smartphone—to ensure you always have the latest software

Price of the Flying Flea C6

The ex-showroom price of the Flying Flea C6 has been set at approximately ₹2.79 lakh, which includes the battery.

If you are looking for a slightly more affordable option, the company also offers a ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ (BaaS) model. Under this scheme, the initial price of the bike drops to around ₹1.99 lakh; however, you are required to pay a separate subscription fee for the battery.

As for the on-road price, it may range from approximately ₹2.8 lakh to over ₹3 lakh, depending on the city (inclusive of insurance and RTO charges).
