Mahindra is preparing another special version of its popular SUV. The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One has been spotted without camouflage at a dealership yard, revealing a revised front grille, special Edition One badges and a new cabin colour scheme. These changes give the familiar SUV a different look while keeping its overall design largely unchanged.
The sighting comes after Mahindra updated Scorpio N with additional equipment in August 2026. The company has not announced an official launch date, price or variant details for Edition One. For now, the dealer-yard vehicle offers a clear look at changes planned for this special version.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One: What Is New?
Edition One appears to be a styling-focused version rather than a major mechanical update. Its main changes include a horizontal grille, exclusive exterior badges and a wine-red and black cabin. The spotted SUV also wears a black exterior finish.
Mahindra is expected to retain its familiar body shape, headlamp design and overall proportions. Buyers could get a fresh-looking version without major changes to the SUV’s basic design or mechanical package.

New Front Grille and Exterior Details
A redesigned front grille is the biggest change. The standard Scorpio N uses prominent vertical chrome elements, while Edition One gets a layered horizontal pattern with bright rectangular inserts. Its design appears similar to the grille seen on Mahindra’s Lifestyler pickup concept.
Other front-end elements look familiar. The SUV retains its twin-barrel headlamps, sculpted bonnet and existing bumper design. Edition One lettering is visible on the front doors and rear quarter panels. Mahindra has not confirmed whether black will be the only exterior colour.
Wine Red and Black Interior Revealed
Inside, Edition One gets a wine-red and black colour theme. Red upholstery and trim can be seen across seats, dashboard sections and door pads, while black surfaces cover the upper dashboard and lower cabin areas. Metallic-finish accents add contrast around parts of the cabin.
The dashboard layout appears unchanged. Images also show a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen, a multifunction steering wheel and an automatic gear selector. The second row appears to retain a bench-seat layout, with rear AC vents behind the front centre armrest.
Expected Features and Equipment
The spotted SUV appears to be based on a higher-specification Scorpio N variant. Visible equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system and alloy wheels. Mahindra’s August 2026 update brought a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 540-degree camera system to selected variants.
Higher Scorpio N trims also offer ventilated front seats, connected-car functions and driver-assistance technology. However, Mahindra has not confirmed which features will be included with Edition One. A final equipment list should be available closer to launch.
Engine and Gearbox Options
No major mechanical changes are expected. Edition One is likely to continue with existing petrol and diesel engines, paired with six-speed manual or automatic gearboxes, depending on variant.
The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 203hp. The 2.2-litre diesel is offered in 132hp and 175hp versions. Selected diesel variants also get Mahindra’s four-wheel-drive system. It remains unclear which engine and drivetrain combinations will be offered with Edition One.
Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One Price and Launch
Mahindra has not confirmed prices, bookings or a launch date. The standard Scorpio N is currently priced from Rs 13.69 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh (ex-showroom). CarWale reports that Edition One could cost up to Rs 1 lakh more than an equivalent regular variant, but this remains an estimate, not an official price.
More details about variant availability, colour choices and bookings are expected after Mahindra makes a formal announcement.
Should You Wait for Edition One?
Buyers who want a different-looking Scorpio N may find Edition One worth waiting for. Its horizontal grille, special badges and wine-red cabin give it a distinct identity, while familiar engines and overall design are expected to remain.
However, buyers should wait for confirmed pricing and feature details before making a decision. Mahindra’s official announcement will clarify whether Edition One is a limited-run model and which variants will be available.
